Mobil 1 motorcycle oils are specifically formulated to help keep motorcycle engines in peak condition for maximum power and long life. Two specially engineered formulas deliver maximum levels of protection, even in extreme riding conditions. These specific formulations are designed to help prolong the life of vital engine parts and transmissions for cruisers and sport bikes. Mobil 1 Racing 4T is for use in on-road, off-road and competition four-stroke motorcycles. Its unique formulation is engineered to help provide high output by helping keep engines clean, optimized for high-temperature durability during long rides or short races and designed for superb engine, clutch and transmission protection. See Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W-50 Motorcycle Oil formulated for Cruisers.
Motor oil is made from crude oil and is used to lubricate, clean, and cool engines. Types of motor oil include conventional, synthetic, diesel, bio-based, hybrid (blends of conventional and synthetic), and recycled oils. Motor oil varies in weight and viscosity, as well as additives that some manufacturers add to the oil during the refining process. A numerical code system created by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) grades motor oils according to viscosity--the higher the number between 0 and 60, the more viscous (thicker) the oil is. Most consumer motor oils are graded by two numbers, with the first number indicating cold weather (Winter or "W") performance.
This oil has a weight of SAE 10W-40, meaning it has an SAE viscosity rating of 10 in cold temperatures and a rating of 40 at normal operating temperature. Always check your vehicle's owner's manual to verify that this is the correct weight of motor oil for your vehicle.
This oil is a conventional motor oil, meaning it is refined from crude oil or petroleum products. Conventional motor oils may or may not have additives included after refining. Conventional motor oils are more versatile than synthetic or hybrid motor oils, because they are suitable for use with nearly all types of modern vehicle engines, from cars and trucks to motorcycles, ATVs, farm equipment, and more.
Racing oils are designed for track cars and other types of high-compression vehicles intended for motorsports competition. They contain particular additives for increased engine horsepower and reduced friction on metal parts, and provide special protection for engines with high compression or higher horsepower. Racing oils usually include fewer detergents than regular conventional motor oils.
Please note that many, if not all, oils labelled as racing oils are not street legal, and it is not recommended to put racing oil in a conventional passenger vehicle. Make sure to double-check the product label as well as the specifications of your vehicle to ensure proper usage.
If your like me and love the wind in your hair and sometimes bugs in your face, this is top tier for your bike, always remember most bikes are wet clutch, meaning your oil is in your transmission. You stick with this and you will be riding for many years to come
Great oil. Can feel the difference shifting.
I use this oil in my airplane It has a 4 cycle 100 HP engine With a gear reduction
This Mobil 1 is a great oil for a lot of street bikes including 4 stroke sport bikes for a reasonable price. It doesn't have a flashy European name, but it is a really good, full synthetic product that will provide the same protection as the cooler sounding options costing significantly more.
Great overall. Shifting is smoother than ever. Engine rev is smooth.
I use this oil in my Suzuki SV650S, Honda Shadow Aero 750, and my Suzuki DR200SE. They all call for 10w40 and this oil works very well. All three of my bikes shift well and run a bit cooler and quieter running this oil. It's a bit on the expensive side but I like the piece of mind I have while running it. It's last a pretty good while too. You can ride three thousand miles or even four to all the up to five thousand miles before changing.
Exactly what I needed. Delivered quickly.
I've ran synthetics in other bikes but recently switched to this from the standard GN4 Honda recommds for my 2006 ST1300. Let me say, my bike was ANGRY before putting in mobil 1 racing 4T. The bike shifts smoother and I can literally feel the added difference in power now. I will be using this oil exclusively going forward. Love that it can be purchased locally as well.
The perfect oil for my 2013 Yamaha FZ1. Smooth shifts and ultimate protection for 3-season riding. I have no concern with taking this oil to 12,500 RPM. Bottom-line? Mobil 1 4T is simply the best.
Awesome oil as usual. Horrible shipping as usual!
This oil is endorsed by Triumph Motorcycles and is the only oil for the model I have they say to use.
Great motor oil for our Chinese ATV's. Synthetic motor oil handles the heat of the air cooled engines without breaking down.
I always use quality synthetic oils. Small engines need synthetic oil, most small engines have no cooling fans to speak of, syntheyic oils help dissipate heat helping engines last longer.
I use this oil on my Suzuki Bandit and in the primary on my Harley Davidson touring bike. Works great in both. I use other Mobile 1 Synthetic oils in all my vehicles. Never had an oil related issue.
The engine seems to run a bit quiter. Shifts are a bit smoother. All good I would say. I used the Honda gn4 conventional oil previously. Seems like an improvement .... at least to my ears ! I guess time will tell.
I have 90,000 miles on my 2015 Yamaha FJR1300 using this oil. It uses no oil between 6,000 - 8,000 mile oil changes. I have never had any motor issues.
Better easier start up, more performance, smoother shifting, great power, before the clutch was slipping and I had to baby it to get it to pull out, but now I can hook up to a small trailer with garden supplies and pull it fine, or go on the trail and go slow and easy. Great product thanks guys/gals. :) You hit a home run.
I have been using this and this only for the past 7 years in both my Gold Wing 1500 and my present Gold Wing 1800 and have no problems what so ever. My motorcycle always runs cool and shifts perfectly. I recommend this for use in any cruising motorcycle.
