Shell Rotella T4 Triple Protection 15W-40 diesel engine oil provides exceptional wear protection for longer life in a wide range of heavy-duty engines— from diesel pickup trucks to tractors to tractor trailers. It uses advanced additive technology for superior engine cleanliness throughout the oil drain interval to protect under the most severe engine conditions found in modern, low-emission engines and older hard-working diesel engines. Shell Rotella T4 15W-40 engine oil provides deposit control that helps keep engines clean for optimum performance and long life. It effectively sustains emissions control system durability where diesel particulate filters and after-treatment systems are used. Plus, it provides enhanced protection against viscosity loss due to shear and improved oil aeration compared to the previous formulation. Shell Rotella T4 Triple Protection 15W-40 is an excellent choice for on-highway fleets, general haul, construction, agriculture, public-transport operators, diesel pickup trucks, including high-power vehicles where resistance to increased heat and stress is required. Meets or exceeds the following industry requirements: API CK-4, CJ-4, CI-4 Plus, CI-4, CH-4; ACEA E9; Allison TES-439; JASO DH-2, MA, MA2. I use this twice a year changing out all my motorcycles oil. Never had a problem, last as long if not longer then the more expensive motorcycle oils for tappets. I can tell I need a change when the gear dogs click louder than normal. I get about 2500 miles out of a change in my old air cooled shared sump bikes. I'm sure I could go longer, oil still looks nice when I drain it. I just prefer to change it at manufacturer intervals. I then use the used oil in my mowers for a half season of more. Have one mower that's been going strong for 11 years, still doesn't smoke and starts every time. Wouldn't trust anything else in my old fleet of tappet head bikes.
An excellent product for the gear box of your off-road motorcycle. You get a gallon for the price of a quart of boutique oils. I have run Rotella for 15 years and never a problem. I get long clutch and bearing life.
we love this, makes it much easier when changing oil in our machines
we love this, makes it much easier when changing oil in our machines
Better price than the bulk dealer on T4
Always great??
Good product, we only use this oil.
Although this product has many modern applications, I use Rotella 15W-40 and 10W-30 in all my antique tractors that call for 30 and 40 weight oil. It's much better than what they've been run on for the bulk of their life and has no doubt extended the lives of their old engines.
Very good price....I wish could buy more but I think they quit selling it because I tried to order more but I couldn't.
The Turbo Diesel Register did an in depth analysis of a wide range of died engine oils, including some very pricey synthetics. I had just purchased my first diesel,a '02 Dodge 24valve Cummins, and was researching what oil to use. I run Amsoil products in my Harley and was surprised to find that the Rotella T ranked in the top 5 of this analysis. It can be viewed on the Geno'garage website /Tech information. I change my oil at 10k mile intervals and I am sure if I had it tested, it could go further. Great product.
GREAT PRODUCT, GOOD PRICE
GREAT PRODUCT, GOOD PRICE
I have been using Rotella for 50 years and in my equipment and would never use anything else
The price was right, service was great.
I use it in all my small engines sae30 and t4 in my powersports. Never lets me down
I bought this truck almost 5 years ago it had 85,000 miles on it when I bought it it now has 123,000 and I have been using Rotella 15/40 - T-4 and have always change my oil at around 5,000 miles and i see most people don't change their oil until 7,500 or more it's been awesome I love the oil and the protection that it has, But I have got a question about the T-5 will it harm my engine if I wanna switch to synthetic T-5 or would I be better off staying with T-4 ?????
Good price and had it available
I've used RotellaT4 in my 2002Chevy 2500HD Duramax from the first oil change and every 5000 ml. sense.
I was concerned when I heard shell discontinued production of Triple Protection Rotella. This is my second oil change with this oil and I run it for 5000-7000 miles. UOA show great additive packs and the wear metals in my samples have decreased since the change to T4. Great oil and a great company. I've been using Rotella since the Rotella-T days.
I've used Rotella T4 15-40 in my 1300cc liquid cooled motorcycle for years because of its heat hadling capabilities and wear resistance. Very pleased with the results and does not compromise the clutch action.
I have been running Rotella 15W-40 in my Mercedes 300 Turbodiesel for years. Unlike what the instructions say about a 5,000mi oil change, I change my oil every 3,000mi. The car now has 528,000mi on it without overhaul yet! I also use Rotella 15W-40 in a pickup with a 454 engine pulling a 11,000lb chorus trailer.
Been using in my tractor trailers for over 40 years and over 5 million miles. Never had an oil related failure. There are newer and more expensive oils o in t there, but it's hard to argue with success…
I live in New Delhi and store my oil in an unheated shop. Twice I have cracked open a new 5 gal oil pale, dumped it into an engine and had table spoon sized ice chunks come out. The oil is good quality but the pales allow moisture to get in. Use a screen.
ROTELLA is everywhere. I see it, I use it, it doesn't let me down.
I have been using Shell Rotella 15w-40 for my diesels for about 10 years now, and I am very satisfied with the performance of this oil. I have had no problems with it at all!
